Barter Rewards (NZ) 2007 Limited ("Barter Rewards") requires certain information from its members to enable it to operate the Exchange. This policy sets out the manner in which Barter Rewards will deal with that information. If you have any queries regarding this policy please contact the Financial Controller.
Information collected by Barter Rewards
The information regarding Members which Barter Rewards collects in the course of operating the Exchange includes:
- Contact details
- Details of transactions between Members
- Information regarding a Member's credit history
Disclosure of information by Barter Rewards
Barter Rewards will not disclose information which it holds regarding a Member to any third party except:
- For credit checking and credit collection purposes.
- For the purpose of publishing our membership directory which is available to all Members.
- For the purpose of complying with NZ Law acts where required.
Access to your information
To find out what information Barter Rewards holds about you simply contact Barter Rewards by email, facsimile or postal mail. If you believe any information Barter Rewards holds is incorrect please let us know, and we will make a correction if appropriate. Barter Rewards is happy to provide you with a copy of any information it holds about you, so long as you meet Barter Rewards's reasonable charges for providing it. Barter Rewards will advise you of the charge in advance. Of course transaction information will appear on the monthly statement we provide to you.
Unauthorised Access Anyone who has your membership number and password will be able to access your information. For this reason you must keep your password confidential. While we use our best endeavours to operate secure systems, we cannot guarantee that a hacker or other unauthorised person will not gain access to your information.
A Member who is an individual may have additional rights under the Privacy Act 1993. Barter Rewards will comply with those rights.
